Story time!
These past few months Danielle & I have been having difficulty paying things on time. Since we've moved in, we have paid only a few of the many month's rent we had to pay. Danielle has been sick due to various things, out on stress leave, etc. Thursday, Danielle was fired from her job due to absenteeism, even though she has a doctor's note for each absence. Today, due to back rent owed, we were evicted with 10 days to vacate the premises. My dad is out on a run for work and his second truck isn't licensed, so we have to wait until Monday to start moving out. Because I have no where to live and can't go to uni, commute, and work all at the same time, I am taking a leave of absence from uni for a semester. Danielle & I are going to Alberta to stay with her parents from February til September at which time we're coming back to NB so I can finish my education. It should be an interesting few months...
Edumacation
So far I've gotten 3 of my marks back. Which is annoying, as exams have been over for two weeks and I still don't have one back. I got a C in both hydrogeology and imaging & mapping, woohoo! Unfortunately, I got a D in fluid mechanics. Again. I retook it this year because I got a D last time. Grr. But, see, I got a C in hydrogeology, and fluid mechanics is a prerequisite for that. Go figure. And now my WebCT access for hydraulics has been denied for whatever reason, but I have yet to hear anything from the prof telling me to withdraw from the course like I did last year. I might try and appeal the mark and make my case that if I don't get credit for this course, its going to add a semester to my degree. Fucking course conflicts...
Hello, and welcome to 2007
So, 2006 is gone. Out the door. A new year is upon us. This New Year's celebration was infinately better for me than last New Year's (I closed by myself at Subway). We had a grand ol' time having a murder mystery at my humble abode. In attendance was Jason, Erin, Nathan, Jack, Emma and Danielle & myself, naturally. I ended up being the killer, sort of. We had much food of Chinese and Canadian (and German!) variety and it was all very tasty. Upon conclusion of the murder mystery we relocated across a parking lot to Jack & Emma's abode where we sat around playing various incarnations of poker until the wee hours. Sadly, I was not as drunk as I would have preferred as I did not have adequate drinky. But, there's always another time!
