What Pseudo Historical Figure Best Suits You?

You scored as Friedrich Nietzsche. Well you're an egotistical maniac, and you are so very iconoclastic that you probably are currently lost in a post-modern Jupiter, I mean jungle of self-definition.

Don't let it get you down though, someday, through a willful onslaught of reinterpretation of dated forms and ideas, you will strike on something that passes as remotely new, and people WILL be into it on the basis of how hip it is alone. Also, the average espresso drinker looks up to you.

Please be safe this holiday season

Yesterday, Danielle and I were out doing our pre-Christmas running around (ie dropping of presents, chatting with friends, etc). We were in St. George when I heard on the radio that Highway 7 was closed off in both directions due to an accident. They didn't say where it was blocked, or anything more about the accident. We still had yet to go to Saint John and then to my parents' place and then home and those who know me well know that I had to travel on Highway 7 from end to end. I bypassed the highway by going through Martinon and Grand Bay and then got back on it in Welsford, past the scene of the accident, I found out later. This was at around 9pm anyways so the accident was cleared up by then. This morning the Daily Gleaner had an article about the accident.

Someone won't be making it home for Christmas this year. Please be safe and have a Merry Christmas.

Sideways

My job presently is at the Fredericton Co-op in the Home & Leisure department. Nestled in the back of the store, the H&L department is pretty much the biggest sub-section of the store. We cover housewares, cooking implements, toys, and everything from lawn mowers to snow blowers to treadmills. We have all the Christmas lights and artificial trees, all the bird seed and assorted stuff, and the Garden Center falls under our jurisdiction. Also intermingled with H&L is Electronics and Furniture/Appliances. The new 14000 sqft warehouse built on Co-op property is half ours, half grocery. To date I've been doing the regular H&L stuff and also working out in the warehouses as required. I've helped out some people in electronics as well as I tend to be knowledgeable in those things. So, I was amused to find out today that a couple of the guys in Electronics want me in that department. They're going to approach our manager to see about getting me transferred there as they need a part-time person and I know a lot about the stuff in there. Should be interesting.

An update of current goings-on

To make a long story short, we almost got kicked out of the apartment today. Merry fucking Christmas, indeed. Through some finagling, I managed to get it sort out and things paid. Those who have me on IM contacts and inquire further...

President Tire had a huge blowout on inventory yesterday. They got into a tiff with a supplier and now are not going to be stocking certain tires so they were selling tires off for cheap cheap cheap. So cheap I got a set of winter tires for $27.70/tire. These ones, to be precise. Thank you Nathan for the assistance!

Seventeen days until Christmas. That is all.
