GreatBird2: And nookie makes the world go round.
Lavincolo: Amen
GreatBird2: It's all about the hoo-hah.
GreatBird2: It's amazing that we humans, who are so concerned about looking good, have as our favourite activity something during which we look so goddamn goofy...
Lavincolo: Hahahaha

Lavincolo: Come on how, you have to try and instill some hope in me
PianOmega47: We're still adapting to this whole relationship thing, but I think she likes it. I'd say I do too, but that would be kind of obvious. :)
PianOmega47: *LOL* I haven't gotten into her pants, sorry, don't know what I can offer you in the way of hope.
PianOmega47: And I'm not planning to, before you ask.

Baby Girl Martin

My niece, born today, March 14, at 10:38pm AST. Weighing in at 7 lbs, 7¾ oz. Cheers to my brother and his wife.

This baby has the distinction of being born on Pi Day. For her birthday every year she will get something related to pi from me, guarantee.

Tin Can

I called dad last night to ask him about parts for my car only to find out that he was dropping a trailer in Fredericton and he would be there in about an hour. So I hopped in my car, picked him up a coffee and headed out to where he was delivering the trailer. The trailer he delivered is what the truckers call a tin can: the entire back of the trailer comes down and you can drive a car into it. This is a camping trailer. MSRP: $35000. He showed me around inside and then we tried to unhook it from the truck. First, the truck wouldn't start. Discovered that the key that dad was using to start it doesn't have a transponder chip so the truck wouldn't start ('05 Ram 2500). So after he figured that out he tried to get the trailer off. The trailer has an electric motor for the stand to keep it level. Of course, there wasn't any power getting to the motor. So dad got the jack out of the truck and jacked it up. Once we got it unhooked, he realized there was a handle in the trailer for a manual override of the motor. After that it went down as smooth as snot on a rooster's beak. He left them a note that the motor wasn't working and we went our separate ways.

Back to the original notion of parts, I called a guy up and he has 2 Escorts and a Tracer of the same vintage of Max. I want to go out and buy a hood (or two) from him. Turns out this same guy is the one dad bought a bunch of parts for his truck from, so he knows where to go. I'm going home Friday after work, but I want to see if I can get my Saturday close covered so I can stay home longer... I don't want to go home just for the parts. I actually have a valid reason to go: my new niece is 9 days overdue, so they're inducing my sister-in-law into labour Thursday morning so hopefully by the time I get home, my new niece will have arrived.

The grind, or taking care of business

Back to classes again today. Bleh. I need a break from my March Break. All I did was work the whole week. But now I'm going to get a big fat paycheque that will help with things. I hope. Class so far consisted of Joe showing us a bunch of his pictures from the Hawai'i trip (only 4 people showed up for the class).

In other news, I really, really need a new monitor. Mine is getting so dark that I can't see things anymore that I can distinctly remember being able to see a week ago. That's really bad. I'm going to check out Digital World today and see how much their monitors are. Maybe I can even trade in my current one if they have a decent 19" (that way I can give the excuse of wanting to go up in size if they ask why I'm bringing it in).
